DRAGON BALL SUPER 1
Synopsis Dragon Ball Super Manga 1
The story begins by recounting how Goku managed to defeat Majin Buu using the Super Spirit Bomb, thanks to Mr. Satan's plea for all the spirits on Earth to lend their energy to Goku. After this event, peace is restored on Earth, and with no enemies in sight, Goku is shown dedicating himself to farming at home.
While driving a tractor, Goku is visited by his son Goten, who brings him lunch. Goku takes a break to eat, leaving Goten in charge of plowing the fields with the tractor. After finishing his meal, Goku begins to raise his ki and transforms into a Super Saiyan. He closes his eyes and starts training, reminiscing about his battles against Frieza, Cell, and Majin Buu.
The training is interrupted when Goten accidentally falls off the tractor into a precipice, forcing Goku to teleport and rescue him. Goku reproaches Goten for not driving properly, stating that he can't train if he doesn't take responsibility. Goten questions why Goku is training when there are no enemies to face, and Goku explains that he does it because a new enemy could appear at any moment.
Afterward, Goku throws the damaged tractor and confesses to Goten that sometimes he wishes to visit King Kai to train but finds it challenging because Chi-Chi pressures him to get a job and start earning real money, especially since Mr. Satan is bankrupt.
At that moment, Mr. Satan arrives in a flying car and pays them a visit. The perspective changes to show Bills, the God of Destruction, for the first time, savoring the finest dishes from a planet of alien insects. The leader of the aliens is delighted to see Bills devouring the food, as he secretly poisoned it.
Bills finds it amusing and mocks the alien leader for thinking poison could kill him. Immediately, all the alien insects become frightened and invite Bills to try their special soup, but Bills declares that he has already decided to destroy the planet.
The aliens brandish their weapons and prepare to fight Bills, but their efforts are in vain. Bills effortlessly obliterates the entire planet within seconds with a simple finger attack. Floating amidst the debris of the destroyed planet, Bills and Whis remain in space. Whis remarks that Bills finally fulfilled his plan to destroy the planet as intended.
Bills mentions that he couldn't let those individuals live forever and recalls a dream about "him." Whis inquires about the nature of the dream, and the perspective shifts back to Goku.
Goku is surprised when Mr. Satan offers him a reward of one hundred million Zeni for defeating Majin Buu. Mr. Satan explains that he received the money as part of the World Peace Prize he received for saving the world (Humanity believes that Mr. Satan defeated Majin Buu).
Since Goku was the one who truly defeated Majin Buu, Mr. Satan believes that Goku deserves the prize. However, Goku remains modest and opposes accepting such a large sum of money. Goten mentions that if Goku accepts, their financial problems would be solved, and Chi-Chi would let him train with King Kai. Combined with Mr. Satan's insistence, Goku finally decides to accept the money, but Mr. Satan asks him not to tell anyone about their conversation before leaving.
Meanwhile, Whis and Bills discuss the prophetic dream about the "Super Saiyan God," a warrior so powerful that they believe could defeat Bills. However, the God of Destruction can't remember the dream clearly, and he is uncertain if the true name is indeed Super Saiyan God.
In light of this situation, Whis suggests they should return home to give Bills more time to remember, and both of them decide to depart. Meanwhile, Kaioshin and Kibito-Shin observe as one of the ancestral planets, specifically the sacred planet of the Kaioshins, has been destroyed. The chapter concludes with Kaioshin expressing a sense of foreboding about what is happening.
