Synopsis Dragon Ball Super Manga 29

Vermoud captures all the Gods of Destruction with his telekinetic powers. While immobilized by his power, he attacks them by throwing ki cards. Liquir manages to break free and uses ki blasts from his tail to counterattack Vermoud.

Due to the effectiveness of his attack, Liquir lowers his guard and is caught off guard by Jerez, who attacks him with his bow, and an arrow pierces his forearm. Both of them are surprised by the roar of Romoosh, which paralyzes everyone, including the spectators. Shin faints, and Whis explains that Lord Romoosh has the largest lungs in the entire universe, and his screams are so powerful that they can paralyze the motor system of anyone who hears them and even cause a fainting spell for Kaioshins.

Even the nearby Gods of Destruction are paralyzed, allowing Romoosh to easily attack them. Goku comments that he can't even tell who is fighting anymore. The Grand Minister mentions that even the Omni-Kings can't see what's happening, so they are bored. In this situation, the Grand Minister says it's time to end the encounter.

Bills and Quitela are the only ones standing. Just before they are attacked, the Grand Minister stops them and tells them that the battle is too intense for the Omni-Kings to enjoy, so all the Gods of Destruction have been disqualified and can now withdraw.

The Omni-Kings mention that they don't find the fights interesting, so they debate whether it would be better to immediately destroy the weaker universes. The Grand Minister asks if he should cancel the tournament, but Goku overhears and intervenes, asking Zen-chan not to cancel the tournament. Goku explains that these fights were very difficult to watch, but he mentions that his fight won't be like that, so the Omni-Kings ask Goku to show them how he fights.

Goku mentions that he would love to fight but says he doesn't feel capable of taking on any of the Gods of Destruction. The Grand Minister says that's not a problem since he'll fight another mortal, and conveniently, Toppo is standing there.

Goku agrees to face Toppo. Both fighters jump into the arena. The Grand Minister mentions that due to the events of the previous battle, some restrictions will be imposed. Flying, killing, and using weapons are prohibited. Additionally, if a fighter leaves the arena, they will be eliminated.

Korn asks Whis if the mortal in the arena is from his universe, and he confirms it. Korn adds that Whis should teach him manners since he acts somewhat insolent towards his father, the Grand Minister. Whis apologizes for that and mentions that Goku sometimes behaves too familiarly because he once helped the Omni-King. Discovering this surprises Korn.

Toppo asks Goku if he is a candidate to become a God of Destruction, and Goku denies it, claiming he's not interested in being one. He adds that he can't sense Toppo's power like he could with the other Gods of Destruction but can still perceive that he is very strong. Toppo mentions that he can also see that Goku is hiding his true power. The Grand Minister announces the beginning of the fight.

The battle begins with Goku transforming into the first stage of Super Saiyan and launching simple attacks that are easily dodged by Toppo. The Omni-Kings are very intrigued by Goku's transformations, so they request to see them all. The Grand Minister asks Goku to show all his transformations.

Quickly, Goku transforms into Super Saiyan 2, but the Omni-King doesn't notice a big difference, so Bills orders Goku to immediately transform again. Goku transforms into Super Saiyan 3, and the Omni-King gets excited, mentioning that Goku's face is now scary.

Even with the power of Super Saiyan 3, Goku is unable to land a hit on Toppo. This enrages Toppo, and he strikes Goku forcefully, feeling that Goku is wasting his time. Toppo's power and speed impress Goku and the Omni-Kings. Feeling at a disadvantage, Goku decides to transform into Super Saiyan God.

Seeing Goku's transformation, the Gods of Destruction are impressed, as they perceive that he has the aura of a god. The battle becomes more even with Goku using the power of Super Saiyan God. Goku briefly flies, but the Grand Minister reminds him that flying is prohibited. Due to the distraction from his mistake, Goku is hit by an attack and almost falls out of the arena.

Seeing the situation, Bills orders Goku to transform into Super Saiyan Blue and finish the fight once and for all. Goku decides to obey and attempts to defeat Toppo with a final attack, but Toppo manages to counterattack and knocks Goku out of the arena, resulting in his loss.

Toppo is declared the winner of the fight and tells Goku not to let his guard down. Goku congratulates him on his power, and Toppo mentions that he is also very strong since he could have lost if he hadn't been able to counter Goku's final attack.

Goku mentions that if he wants to win the tournament, he needs to defeat Toppo. However, Toppo warns him that he is only the second strongest fighter in his universe, impressing Goku. He adds that the strongest fighter is named Jiren and that he is even stronger than the God of Destruction Vermoud based solely on combat abilities.
