Synopsis Dragon Ball Super Manga 49

Moro absorbs all the energy from the new Planet Namek. Jaco and Merus realize that they too could be absorbed if they stay there, so they hurry to the ship to distance themselves from the planet. Jaco speaks to Esca, saying that it must be extremely difficult for him. Esca tells Jaco that he had promised the elder that he would survive, as he was designated to be the next elder. The former dean knew he was going to die, so he revealed everything to Esca. Merus states that the first thing to be done to restore peace on Namek is to defeat Moro.

Goku, Vegeta, and the Grand Supreme Kai appear where Moro is and begin to attack him, but their blows seem to pass through him as if he were some kind of ghost. It is soon revealed that Moro is not actually there and somehow gathers energy from somewhere else. Moro soon appears on a nearby rock, and the three start chasing him. Vegeta realizes that this is part of Moro's plan: he and Goku cannot continue because they cannot breathe in space. The Grand Supreme Kai fights Moro alone.

As Moro and the Grand Supreme Kai battle, Moro clearly has the upper hand. The fight leads the two men away from Goku and Vegeta to a place where they cannot be seen. While this battle continues, the energy of Planet Namek stops being absorbed, but Goku and Vegeta are trapped in the planet's atmosphere. Merus, Jaco, and the ship's crew leave to rescue them. The fight between Moro and the Grand Supreme Kai continues. Moro says he was surprised by the strange powers of the Grand Supreme Kai but now that he's turned on, there's no problem. Moro says he doesn't know what happened in the millions of years he was locked away.

The Grand Supreme Kai begins channeling a type of power that will seal Moro's magical abilities as he did in their initial battle, millions of years ago. Moro encourages him to try it, claiming that in his current state, he has no way of mustering enough power to execute such a technique, to which the Grand Supreme Kai acknowledges his own deception. Goku and Vegeta agree that Moro keeps getting stronger and stronger. Soon, Merus arrives, and the two board the ship and begin discussing how they could defeat Moro.

Editor's note: The summary provided to us states that the translations have been difficult for the following part. It may be that some minor details are not entirely accurate.

Merus explains how the split of Majin Buu may explain the fact that the Grand Supreme Kai doesn't have enough power to execute Moro's sealing technique. Jaco seems confused about what this means, and Merus explains that in the battle with Majin Buu, Buu eventually became two separate entities, which even fought each other: Pure Buu versus the kind Buu. Merus also says that he originally thought that the Gentle Buu had inherited most of the Divine Power of the Grand Supreme Kai, but it could have been the evil half instead. The Grand Supreme Kai quickly realizes this as he recalls Goku's victory over Pure Buu with his Spirit Bomb.

Merus goes to where Moro and the Grand Supreme Kai are fighting and asks if the Grand Supreme Kai can perform instant transmission again, to which the Grand Supreme Kai says he can. Merus and the Grand Supreme Kai devise a plan where Merus distracts Moro long enough for the Grand Supreme Kai to position himself behind him, trap him, and use instant transmission to take Moro to Namek, where Goku and Vegeta can fight him on equal grounds. Goku, Vegeta, and the Grand Supreme Kai finally confront Moro on Planet Namek, stating that they are all at their full power and will not allow him to escape. Goku and Vegeta are quite confident in their ability to face Moro, but Moro starts laughing and asks them if they haven't forgotten something important.
