Synopsis Dragon Ball Super Manga 51

On the Galactic Patrol ship, Goku makes a peculiar request to Meerus: he asks him to punch him. However, the angel dodges the blow effortlessly. They both decide to head to the training room and start fighting.

Despite employing all of Goku's best techniques, Goku fails to land a single hit on Meerus, who dodges each one with ease. He even goes as far as transforming into Super Saiyan 1 and Super Saiyan 3, but the situation doesn't change. After several failed moves, Goku realizes that he cannot reach Meerus and decides to unleash the power of Super Saiyan God.

However, realizing that his strength could destroy the place, Goku stops his transformation. At that moment, he reveals to Meerus that he wishes to train with him, as the angel knows a different world than his. Goku expresses that there is a technique he needs to perfect, one that could make his body move on its own.

The reason behind this desire to train with Meerus is that by absorbing Moro's energy, Goku would be able to master Ultra Instinct without relying on her to defeat him. Thus, Dragon Ball Super manga 51 brings us closer to a new transformation in which the warrior will embark.
