Synopsis Dragon Ball Super Manga 76

The chapter unfolds its curtain with Vegeta and Granola, immersed in a colossal battle, dancing among the vestiges of an ancient city. Advantage smiles at Granola, now imbued with an evolved left eye. Defiantly, Vegeta returns to his base state, but stubbornly refuses to give up. Vegeta's persistence annoys Granola, who prepares to deliver a killing blow, but before he can, Goku, in his perfect Super Saiyan Blue form, bursts onto the scene and knocks him out.

Goku vows to prolong the match, but Vegeta, in an unexpected twist, furiously kicks Goku into a nearby rock, rejecting the idea of sharing the fight. With a scornful look, Vegeta advises Goku that they only fought together in the past when there was something to protect. Goku, intrigued, questions if there is a life that needs to be saved, but Vegeta scoffs at it, stating that he would rather die than join him.

Unaware of the impending threat, Granola prepares to attack a vital point in Vegeta's heart, but Goku intervenes in time and blasts him away with a shock wave. A shocked Granola questions how he was able to react so quickly, and Goku reveals that he has picked up on his life focus strategy, rendering it ineffective.

Goku and Granola once again engage in a skirmish, and apparently, the fight is quickly concluded when Granola lands a pressure point attack on Goku's neck. However, Goku counters from behind, claiming that the same move won't work on him once more. Granola tries another attack, but Goku manages to dislodge the pressure points from him and he counters with a forceful punch.

Goku admits that he can't completely evade the attack, but he has managed to alter his pressure points enough to prevent fatal damage. Granola praises Goku's defensive prowess, but maintains that he will not surpass him, as his offensive strength is unmatched, as he is the ultimate warrior in the universe. Just then, Vegeta recovers and once again stands up, watching as Goku is knocked down and loses his Super Saiyan Blue transformation.

The fight reaches its climax, and to add an epic touch, Vegeta takes the reins of the contest, however, he refuses to ally with Goku due to his Saiyan pride. Vegeta senses that since Granola has obtained the new power from him recently, he will soon reach his limit before he fades away, and that will be his chance for victory. He begs Goku to give up the fight, and Goku reluctantly agrees.

Surprising everyone, Vegeta once again enters the Ultra Instinct state, perplexing Granola, who believed that Vegeta had already reached his limit. In response, Vegeta reminds Granola that revenge has consumed him, to which the Cerecian arrogantly replies that he will not be defeated by a Saiyan, and the two continue their fierce battle.

Vegeta beats up Granola in the new town inhabited by the Sugarians, and the latter pleads that they move the fight elsewhere to avoid damage and the destruction of the town. Vegeta ignores the plea and continues fighting. He taunts Granola by stating that his rapid fire attacks cannot be used in the city. However, with Granola planted directly over the city and in no danger to it, Granola frees the opponent from him and shoots him at point blank range, taking no damage to the city. He then prepares to end the battle.

Exhausted, Granola collapses as a nearby wall collapses, revealing a terrified family in his home. Granola has a flashback to the Saiyan invasion on his home planet, Planet Cereal, and reminisces about meeting his mother when he was a little boy in a building. As he hugs his mother, they are both filled with horror, just before Granola snaps back to reality and realizes the situation she has caused the Sugarians. Vegeta tells Granola that the Saiyans deserved to be punished, but by doing so, he is just repeating history. Granola rages at Vegeta's words, refusing to give up the chance for revenge from him, and uses a shockwave to drive Vegeta out of the city.

Granola approaches, gathering all of his power in one last powerful suicide attack with which he plans to take Vegeta's life, making it clear that he will have to wait to get revenge on Frieza when they are both in Hell. Vegeta expresses his apology to Beerus, acknowledging that the God of Destruction's power is beyond his reach, and prepares to die from Granola's attack.

Goku, observing the scene from a distance, rushes over, as does Monaito, who is taken away in a spaceship piloted by Oatmeel. Goku tries to intervene, but the power of the attack prevents him from getting any closer. Monaito pleads with Granola to stop, and the sudden distraction gives Goku the opportunity to push Granola, causing him to fall to the ground, while calling him and Vegeta stupid.

Monaito descends from the ship and begs Granola to abandon his thirst for revenge. However, the Cerecian refuses, arguing that the Saiyans took everything he loved from him. Monaito reveals that he has been tricked and that he is wrong, since not all Saiyans are his enemies. Although he finds it hard to believe, there was a Saiyan who was not looking for revenge.

Forty years ago, the man who saved himself and Granola was none other than Goku's father, the legendary Bardock. The last page concludes with a short note that raises intriguing questions: was it Bardock who saved Granola? What exactly happened forty years ago?
