DRAGON BALL SUPER 81
Synopsis Dragon Ball Super Manga 81
The manga opens with a tense scene as Gas increases the gravity around him, trapping Goku and Vegeta in his relentless grip. Vegeta realizes that if they don't release the energy from him, they will be crushed by the overwhelming power of Gas.
Elec orders Gas to take them out, but suddenly, Granola appears behind him, preparing to launch a powerful attack. However, Gas acts quickly and teleports Elec to a nearby rock, saving his life.
Elec reminds Granola that he was the one who showed mercy and spared his life, and that he is also responsible for his current state. Granola prepares to launch a powerful attack with her fingers.
But at that moment, Gas surges up and breaks Granola's arms with a vicious kick, hitting him in the eyes and leaving them shattered. Elec grabs Granola, thanking him for his work, and as a reward, kills him the same way his mother was killed, shooting him in the back. Granola falls into the river, leaving Monite, Goku, and Vegeta shocked.
Goku tries to move his body, but finds himself unable to do so. In an act of bravery, Vegeta gives all of his remaining energy to her. Asked why, Vegeta replies, "We both better go down. Go and defeat Gas!"
Gas thanks Elec for granting him the ultimate power in the universe, but Elec claims to have done it all for his "dear little brother". He orders Gas to finish the fight as quickly as possible, since he has "another important job" to do.
Thus, Gas faces Goku again, who has adopted the form of Super Saiyan Blue. Gas is surprised to see that Goku has escaped his fate. Filled with rage, Goku tries to calm down and, taking a deep breath, unleashes Ultra Instinct in his Super Saiyan Blue form.
Goku offers Gas and his brothers one last chance to leave the planet, as he has no reason to fight them. Gas notes Goku's apparent tranquility, despite having witnessed his friends being murdered in front of his eyes. Goku replies, "I'm furious, but those emotions would only hinder my technique." Gas doesn't understand the meaning of his words.
Elec tells Goku that there is no way he is going to let him live now that he knows his plans. Gas creates a huge wall of spikes and tries to smash Goku with it, but Goku deftly dodges it. Gas continues to summon more spike walls, but Goku manages to evade all of them. Gas then throws the Sugarians' houses at Goku, but Goku dodges them as well.
As Goku sits down to catch his breath, a train appears out of nowhere and crashes into him. Macki and Oil are shocked to see Gas controlling such large objects with his power. Goku gets on the front of the train, where Gas defiantly awaits him. "Show all your power, son of the abominable Saiyan," Gas taunts him.
Goku unleashes a flurry of punches at Gas, but Gas dodges with ease and hits Goku in the stomach with a punch. He then grabs him by the neck and says, "I don't see an ounce of fighting spirit in you." Goku manages to break free of Gas's grip just as another train crashes into him. Vegeta is enraged to see that Goku is not taking any action against Gas.
Gas points out that Goku's father had a "remarkable determination" to fight, something he doesn't see reflected in his son, and asks if he really is a descendant of that warrior. Goku replies that he suffered a blow to the head as a child, so he doesn't remember anything about his parents or the Saiyans.
"So you don't know who you are at all, huh? I can't lose to a guy like you," Gas replies dismissively. He then throws Goku into the river and comments, "What a fragile race. You can't even breathe underwater."
Goku, despite his weakness, launches a weak attack against Gas, but Gas uses his power to take control of the energy sphere and throws it back, causing a huge explosion that vaporizes all the water in the river. Goku admits that he can't beat Gas and thinks it's the end. However, at that moment, Gas notices Monite healing Granola on the river bank.
Joy invades Goku when he sees Granola alive. Gas regrets not taking out Monite in the first place, being able to heal wounds. In a fit of rage, Gas rushes towards Monite and Granola to finish them off, but Goku gets in the way and using his teleportation, transports them to another planet.
The scene changes and now we see Jaco buying vegetables on that new planet when, suddenly, Goku and Gas land in front of him. Jaco is surprised to see Goku and the latter thanks him, since he was able to teleport to him while on a nearby planet.
Gas asks Goku where they are, but Goku doesn't have the answer either. Gas questions if Goku still believes that he is in control of the fight with his techniques. Goku replies that it took him years to master teleportation so skillfully, something Gas couldn't comprehend. Jaco wonders if Goku is facing another challenging villain.
