Why MADARA saved OBITO?
In the world of Naruto anime, one of the biggest mysteries that has left fans puzzled for years is why Madara decided to save Obito Uchiha after half of his body was crushed by a rock during a mission. Despite Obito being just a genin at that time, Madara, one of the most iconic villains in the series, chose to rescue him and heal all his injuries. This decision of Madara Uchiha has been the subject of much speculation and theorizing among fans, which is why we will try to give an accurate explanation about this great decision.
The reason why Madara Uchiha decided to save Obito Uchiha after he suffered serious injuries on a mission was not motivated by the kindness of his heart or even by an act of altruism, but by a darker and meticulously calculated reason. Madara saved Obito with the intention of using him as his pawn, as a tool that he could manipulate at his will to revive and achieve all his objectives that he had not been able to accomplish in life.

Being on the brink of death, old, and dependent on the Gedo Statue that he had managed to summon when he awakened the Rinnegan in his last days of life, Madara Uchiha planned the ambush on Kakashi's team and Rin's death. But why specifically did he choose Obito Uchiha as his replacement? What did this particular character have in comparison to other shinobi?
Madara Uchiha was fully aware that Obito had managed to awaken the Sharingan, as well as the deep love he felt for his teammate Rin Nohara. Based on this knowledge, Madara devised a plan to manipulate Obito at his will. He knew that if Obito witnessed Rin's death, he would awaken the Mangekyo Sharingan, making him even more powerful but also much more vulnerable to manipulation as he would be totally blinded by the death of his beloved.
